What’s your name, role and background?

I’m Joanne and my role is Digital Marketing at Spectre Creative. I previously studied graphic design at college for two years while working in retail.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I wanted to be a hairdresser when I was younger. I had really long hair growing up and always wanted to do something creative. My mum also previously worked as a hairdresser so I’d practise with her equipment.

What inspires you?

My surroundings inspire me. I think the place you are in and the people you are around can affect how motivated you are. I also believe that if your surroundings are tidy and well organised then so are your thoughts, it puts you in a better mindset to work.

Favourite social media platform?

Instagram. I like that it’s mainly pictures and video. I’m a visual person so looking at a picture and knowing what’s happening without reading the caption is great.

Favourite places to go in Glasgow?

I really enjoy Glasgow’s nightlife and nightclubs. There’s also a lot to choose from when it comes to restaurants or cafes which I like.

What colour describes your personality the best?

My favourite colours pink. Although I think yellow describes my personality the best. It’s a bright colour and I tend to be happy and spontaneous most of the time.

Would you describe a cup to be half full or half empty?

Half full. I’m optimistic and like to look at the good side of things as much as I can.

A place you want to visit?

I’ve always wanted to visit New York, one of my favourite TV shows was filmed there. Also, the Maldives would be amazing.

How do you take your tea or coffee?

Always an Americano, no sugar or milk. That just wastes it.

Would you rather never use social media sites again or never watch another movie or TV show?

I’d rather never use social media again. I like binge-watching TV shows too much!

What’s your favourite emoji(s)?

I use the Spanish dancing woman and the moon face the most 💃🏻🌚

If you could live in any other decade right now, in the past or future, which one would it be?

I would have loved to live between the 1960’s and 2000’s. I like the music from this era and also the fashion was amazing, although most of the styles are coming back into fashion. Also because the technology wasn’t as developed as it is today so life would have been completely different. I think living back then would have felt like a completely different world to live in.

Favourite inspirational quote?

“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change” – Wayne Dyer
